OSUWelcome 2023 is a collection of activities and events — from Sept. 22 to Oct. 7 — to help incoming students connect with the Corvallis campus. Some events will entertain you, some will share tips and strategies for success, and others will help you get to know resources on campus.
All first-year and transfer undergraduate and graduate students are welcome!

OSUWelcome 2023 is full of many things to do, people to meet, and activities to engage in. For some programs, all incoming students are expected to attend.
Welcome home, Beavs! No matter where you're from, once you move into the residence halls, you're a resident of Beaver Nation.
All incoming first-year and transfer students will attend FORTE, a 3-hour academic experience designed to support your transition to OSU's learning environment. Each block includes an 80-minute keynote session, followed by two 40-minute breakouts.
Students gather with their respective academic colleges and walk from the Memorial Union Quad to Gill Coliseum for the New Student Convocation ceremony with OSU senior leadership. Next, students learn Beaver football cheers at the Orange & Black Rally inside Reser Stadium and then take the field for the Class of 2027 photo. Afterward, enjoy FREE FOOD during the Picnic on Parker Plaza!
We've highlighted some “can’t miss” signature events below. Incoming students are strongly encouraged to attend.
Celebrate the end of summer and the start of a new school year with a foam dance party and special DJ performance. Students will receive FREE light-up wands, glow sticks, and pre-packaged snacks.
Kickstart your week! This is a chance to connect with other students — and OSU President Jayathi Murthy — during a calming and shared experience. In addition to FREE food, you’ll find tips and resources for mental health and self-care at this well-being-focused event.
Stop by Waldo Hall to visit the welcome booth and snap your first day of school photos.
Get FREE ice cream sundaes, meet President Jayathi Y. Murthy and connect with other students on the MU Quad.
Students can reserve FREE student tickets and purchase guest tickets too.
Get involved! Discover different student groups, clubs and organizations, learn about volunteer opportunities, and find vendors from local businesses, all to help students connect with Corvallis.
